Casey & Skoglund’s Consumer Activism:

Both Mr. Casey and Mr. Skoglund are committed to improving residential and commercial construction throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Nevada. In furtherance of this, they routinely reach out to homeowners and even provide free legal advice to many residential and commercial consumers.

Their more public contributions to homeowners include:

• Multiple presentations before Legislature committees in support of condominium homeowners and in opposition to the Building Industry Association’s attempts to limit owner’s rights;

• Continuing education seminars for property managers, homeowners and members of Oregon and Washington State’s Chapter of Community Association Institute, providing up to date information and developments on legal issues pertaining to homeowners’ rights;

• Special Consultant to KIRO’s Channel 7, Bebe Emerman, on issues involving toxic mold, hydronic heating failures and residential construction defects; and

• Contributing Special Legal Advisor to and on behalf of Seattle Times Home/Real Estate “Home Forum” section.
